The editorial board is guided by the intellectual property rights standards for scientific works as accepted in Armenia and internationally (see http://publicationethics.org/resources/international-standards).
General Provisions
The editorial board operates within the framework of scientific ethics, assuming responsibility for upholding its standards. At the same time, this implies the safe expression of the authors' personal opinions and viewpoints, taking into account their genre-specific features (article, publication, review, illustrative materials, etc.), for which the authors are responsible. In this regard, the editorial board is committed to preserving the authors' viewpoints when preparing the material for publication, as these viewpoints determine the integrity of the material and the author's contribution to the respective field of science. The decision to publish the material is made by the chief editor after consulting with the editorial board. The same procedure is followed for preparing each issue for publication.
The material subject to complaints and appeals is sent for additional professional opinion to address specific questions or issues that have caused disagreement. The final decision of the editorial board is based on this opinion. In other cases, the material is finalized through mutual agreement between the author and the editorial board.
The author submits the article (material) according to the required standards (packaging, references, volume, font, transliteration, etc.). The author is provided with the information available on the editorial board's website.
The editorial board is obligated to notify the author of its decision to either publish or reject the article within one month.
The reviewer presents their opinion based on the list of sectional evaluations developed by the editorial board. The opinion must be confirmed with a signature and a deadline.
In case of disagreement between the chief editor and the editorial board, as well as its members, regarding the publication of an article or articles, the material is sent for additional review.
The editorial board of the journal is guided by the standards of copyright protection for scientific works, both in Armenia and internationally.
Post-publication discussions are held for those articles in the journal that contain controversial elements, factual errors, or incorrect formulations, involving the author and the editorial board. If necessary, these discussions are published in the next issue of the journal.
Editor’s Responsibilities
The editor is responsible for acting within the framework of the above-mentioned ethical principles, as well as ensuring their consistent application in the interactions between the editorial board, authors and reviewers.
When evaluating the submitted material, the editor is guided by its scientific value, relevance, and novelty criteria.
The editor must ensure the confidentiality of the reviewer’s name if the reviewer prefers to maintain this ethical standard. The editor must also ensure the confidentiality of information regarding the submitted materials.
Reviewer’s Responsibilities
The reviewer follows the same confidentiality principles as the editorial board. In case of discovering plagiarism, the reviewer must substantiate their position. The reviewer agrees on the deadlines for submitting the review with the editorial board.
The editorial board, including foreign experts who are members of the board, has an advisory vote and participates in the process of evaluating the scientific quality and relevance of the material within their areas of expertise. Upon the request of the chief editor, they participate in and provide their decisions during the editorial discussions for each issue of the journal and in the decision-making process for publication.
